(Cont`d.) <br />(1) (b) (Cont'd.) <br />to be instituted the first Fall after completion of <br />construction both at the mine and at the silo area. <br />This is discussed in detail in [he Reclamation Sec[ion <br />2.05.4. <br />Windborne material has been held in check and it has <br />been demonstrated [hat these rapid reclamation practi- <br />ces will be very successful in eliminating fugitive <br />dust from [he area, <br />All mining vehicles have standard factory air and noise <br />pollution control devices which are serviced regular- <br />ly. <br />• <br />General housekeeping of all areas a[ the mine and silo <br />area assist in maintaining air quality. Continued <br />maintenance of belt cleaners, e[c., reduce the possi- <br />bility of coal spillage. As necessary, CW; cleans <br />areas under conveyor belts at transfer areas to mini- <br />mize fugitive dust. <br />CW: does utilize open stockpiles in approved, permitted <br />areas. This is done when all other storage areas have <br />been filled to capacity. When utilizing these s[ock- <br />pile areas, special air quali[y control measures are <br />implemented. These include: compaction, watering, <br />surface stabilization, and wind barriers. Refer to [he <br />Air Quality Appendix in Volume 9. <br />CIJ; has an approved permit Eor coal screening in and <br />around the silo area. Special air quality control mea- <br />sures include: watering, production ]imitations, and <br />fines stockpile size ]imitations. Refer to the Air <br />Quality Appendix in Volume 9. <br />CW; has an approved permit for a waste rock disposal <br />area. Special air quality control measures to be im- <br />plemented are: graveling of roads, water, and area <br />construction.
