Bowie Resources, LLC is proposing to drill two exploration holes, which will determine if the old mine workings are flooded and
will disturb approximately 2.3 acres. Reclamation will consist of restoring the drill pads, narrowing the upgraded road,
reclaiming the new road, and seeding, The Bowie No. 1 Mine portals will not be reactivated.
The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 3 miles North of Paonia, Colorado. The permit area is
further described as follows:
Portions of Sections 1-3, 10-15, and 22-25, Township 13 South, Range 92 West of the 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 5-8, 17-19, and 29-32, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
