2005 Edna Mine Vegetation Sampling Report <br />Additionally, two reference areas (snowberry/sage vegetation community and oak <br />mountain shrub vegetation community) were sampled for cover and production to <br />establish vegetation bond release standards. The snowberry/sage vegetation community <br />represents 83% of the pre-mine disturbance. The oak mountain shrub vegetation <br />community represents 17% of the pre-mine disturbance. Appropriate vegetation <br />parameters for each reclaimed unit were compared to the reference areas' weighted <br />mean herbaceous cover and production values. <br />1.3. Summarized Results <br />Results of the vegetation sampling in 2005 are summarized below in Table 1-2. All <br />sampled units met or exceeded the appropriate Bonded Reclaimed Areas & Vegetation <br />Performance Standards. It should be noted that data from "West Ridge BRU: No- <br />Topsoil" and "Moffat BRU: No-Topsoil" were combined for sampling purposes as <br />detailed in the sampling plan. <br />:.-_ 1i- ?a..?:....
