The inlets, outlets and embankments <br />of both ponds were inspected and appear in good condition. Both ponds should beA <br />checked for cleaning this year, especially the west pond. The west pond is shown I`N4i <br />photo 1. C', V <br />Drainage Ditches: The drainage ditches in the upper and lower yard appear ir'4Q <br />shape and are working properly. The inlet to all pipes should be periodically cle fc?a,2008 <br />sediment and other debris. All other drainage channels on the site were inspected an <br />are in good condition. The ditch behind the office is shown in photo 3. <br />Drainage in and around the upper and lower yards is working well and both are in good <br />shape. Except where noted, all drainage features have been constructed and are <br />operating as stated in the drainage plan submitted to the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology. <br />Coal Waste Pile: Photo 2 shows the lower potion of the waste pile. Erosions rills are <br />forming on this face and should be monitored. They do not pose any danger to the <br />stability of the waste pile at this time. The top of the is draining well and the ditches are <br />clear and operating adequately. Care should be taken not to contaminate the clear <br />water ditch on the east side of the pile. <br />Except for the items mentioned above the fill on the waste pile has been constructed as <br />specified in the design approved by the Division of Minerals and Geology. <br />Photo 1. <br />West Pond. <br />
