Additionally, over the past year we <br />have removed in excess of 5,000 tons of over burden and waste material from our quarry. <br />This excess material was taken to a centralized staging area where a screener was rented <br />and the material screened into several different sizes of marketable material called rip <br />rap. This rip rap, although a by-product of our main operation, is used by contractors to <br />line drainage ditches, culverts, build retaining walls as well as other applications. This <br />extra material therefore, is not left lying around and allows us to maintain a clean, safe <br />work environment. <br />Because we continue to be busy and have mined the quarry year round, we have not done <br />any planting of trees or re-seeding of any grasses.
