EXHIBIT B
The site is open prairie grass land common to Northeastern Colorado. No landowner has any
improvements in the area.
Attached are the following as furnished by the Soil Conservation Service:
Location Map
Topo Map
List of Identified vegetation
Description of Sampson Loam and Table Mountain Loam and all types present in
the gravel pit area
Further on Section (c): Surveyor Creek first appears about five miles west and 2 miles south of
the CLG FARMS site. This is not far from the highest points in the area and the division
line between the South Platte drainage basin to the west and the Republican River
drainage basin to the east. For most of its length until it disappears in the sand hills
North of Yuma, Colorado, it is a dry river bed for most of the year. From the slope of
the land, there are areas along its course where water will stand long enough to be
considered a pond in wet years. There are no such ponds on or near the proposed gravel
pit.
The static water level in this area is 120 feet below the surface, where stock watering
wind mills have been located.
Applicant does not anticipate that mining this pit to a total depth of 10 feet from the
surface level will cause any ponding or create any water problems.
