There is currently no production and no personnel located at the site.
Reclamation activities have continued in the form of surface water monitoring in Windy Gulch,
maintenance of vegetation, and regular inspection of the site. The transfer of the permit from
Homestake of California to Emerald Mining and Leasing, LLC resulted in a recalculation of the
Reclamation Bond reducing it to a lower amount.
Emerald Mining and leasing has entered into a joint venture agreement and is undertaking an
exploration project (outside the permit boundary), which may result in resumption of production, but it
is not anticipated there will be any new disturbance in the upcoming year. Emerald Mining and
Leasing, LLC will continue reclamation monitoring, maintenance, and regular inspections.
Thank you for your time and attention on this matter. If you have any questions, please contact me at
(719) 658-0506 in our Creede, CO office. Please find enclosed check No. 1056 in the amount of
$633.00 for the annual fee.
Sincerely yours,
E rald Mining fandL sing, LL
Brian F. Egolf
Cc: Zeke Ward
Files
