III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br /> during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br /> and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This partial inspection of the Carbon Junction Coal Mine was conducted by DRMS staff from the <br /> Durango Office at 691 County Road 233, Suite A 2, Durango, CO 81301, phone (970) 247-5469. <br /> Please note the change of address for the DRMS Durango Office. <br /> Public access to the permit area is controlled by a locked gate at the mine entrance. A mine <br /> identification sign was posted at the entrance to the permit area. No individuals were contacted and <br /> no activities were observed during the inspection. <br /> Both sediment ponds were dry. Vegetative cover appeared well established. Reclaimed lands <br /> appeared stable. <br />
