I apologize for this being so late in being sent.
There was no activity at our pit in the last report year. The product stockpiles had
been sold and removed and there was no mining, processing or reclamation.
It is our plan to apply for a change in the permit this year to allow us to
expand the permitted area to 9.9 acres. In preparation for this we contracted with a
licensed surveyor to provide us with a map and legal description of the proposed
expansion as well as a map and legal description of the current pit boundaries.
I was hoping to send those maps with this report but in realizing that this
report was now overdue by more than two months decided to send it now with the
maps to follow as soon as we receive them from the surveyor.
We have begun mining and processing in an area that is with in the current
permitted boundaries and will be within the permitted area of the expanded pit. We
have been in contact with Bob Oswald about all of this and we anticipate a certain
amount of reclamation of a portion of the current permitted area to be necessary in
the transition from 5 acres to 9.9 acres. That will occur in the upcoming year as
well.
Sincerely,
R. Scott amb-Manager
Soward Ranch Pit
M-1988-021
