Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />I/ <br />Re: Golden Wonder Mine, Permit M-1978-091 UG, Amendment AM-3, Adequacy Review Letter. <br />Dear Ms. King and Mr. Abraham, <br />The above-named amendment application was found complete by this office on August 22, 2008, and the <br />completeness notification letter to you is being sent to you from the Division's Denver office. The completeness <br />letter will inform you of the need to publish the legal notice and that the decision date of the application is set <br />for September 22, 2008. Please ensure that you publish notice soon, so that the 10-day public comment period <br />may close before the Division's decision date. (A copy of that letter is enclosed herewith, for your information.) <br />The following items were identified during the technical adequacy review, as needing either further clarification <br />or revision. Application items not listed here are considered to be adequate at this time. Please address the <br />following items: <br />Exhibit C - Mining Plan (Rule 6.3.3): Please provide certification by a Colorado-licensed professional engineer <br />for any diagrams or calculations used in the amended plan. <br />Please list the types and maximum volumes of the various fluids, substances or chemicals to be stored at the site, <br />as well as the locations. Please describe the conditions in which they will be stored. <br />Exhibit D - Reclamation Plan (Rule 6.3.4): Will topsoil (including any other growth medium) be salvaged from <br />new areas to be affected by mining activity? Where will the soil/growth medium be stored, and how will it be <br />protected, until used during reclamation? <br />The application does not include adequate explanation of the reclamation measures to be performed to stabilize <br />the 6 Level cutwall above the portal and borrow area.
