basin will be constructed to capture accumulated Deadman gulch seep flows, and route them into a <br />culvert pipe (the inlet headwall design is shown in Figure C.2). This culvert pipe will be placed into the <br />edge of the waste rock pile where it contacts the forest floor, and descent to the bottom of the waste rock <br />toe. At the toe, flows will be dispersed into a catchment basin comprised of coarse dolomite limestone in <br />order to control energy as well as allow for passive contract treatment of some of the natural acid <br />generation characteristics that Deadman gulch flows contain. <br />Figure C.2 depicts the initial cement catchment basin, Figure C.3 depicts the cross-sectional view of the <br />pipeline portion of this design. This cross sectional view shows the pipe as being embedded into the <br />natural depression and covered with coarse material in order to control any storm-water flow energy from <br />any sheetflow from the waste rock slope. Figure CA depicts the slope/aspect of all the containment <br />features (concrete in-let basin, pipeline and dolomite catchment basin
