Financial Warranty, Revision No. SO-1
Dear Mr. Myers, Jr:
As you are aware, on July 3, 2008, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety approved the succession of operators
from Robinson Brick Company to General Shale Brick, Inc. dba Robinson Brick for this operation. General Shale Brick,
Inc. dba Robinson Brick is now the permitted operator of the North Chieftain Mine, and as such, is responsible for all
provisions in M-1978-014, as well as those specified in the Rules and Regulations. Robinson Brick Company is relieved
of all responsibilities concerning this operation.
After conducting an inspection on July 10, 2008, the, Division recalculated the financial warranty and found the existing
financial warranty held.by the Division for the North Chieftain Mine to be inadequate.
The estimated liability amount of $23,431 for the North Chieftain Mine, when added to the existing liability
amount of $50,000, exceeds the performance bond held. If you have not already done so, please submit additional
bond in the amount of $23,431. This needs to be sent certified mail.
