This reservoir is to be off line and used as
buffering capacity for the recycle of water from the 10 Right Dewatering Well back to the mine for
operational purposes. Erin Light, Division Engineer, has signed the "Notice of Intent" for this dam as it
was written. The signed notice is being returned for your records, a copy will be maintained in this
office, and a copy will be sent to the Water Commissioner for District 57.
Construction of this dam should follow sound engineering practice to insure the integrity of the
structure. The Water Commissioner and possibly myself will check the dam during construction or
shortly after completion for compliance with the specifications listed in your Notice of Intent.
If you should have any questions about this matter or need any additional information about dam safety
related issues, please feel free to contact me at (970) 879-0272 ext. 6014.
Sincerely, //
, all?
John R.
