What measures will be implemented to prevent accumulations of contaminants in
the soils of the working and stockpile areas within the compost facility. If no
prevention technologies are proposed what methods of removal of potentially
contarr?inated! s'6i1'will:! be used and what landfill will be used for proper disposal?
The working and stockpile areas are now proposed to have an asphalt pavement
surface to facilitate handling, which will also prevent buildup of contaminates in
these areas.
2. In the stormwater management plan, retention ponds are proposed rather than
detention ponds with the intent minimize a potential release of stormwater from
the site. In the event that there is a release of stormwater from the site what
other permits are required and/or applied for?
The site activities will require a stormwater management permit from the State of
Colorado. The potential release of stormwater from the site will be addressed to
the satisfaction of the State (CDPHE) with the permitting process.
If you have any questions, please contact Tom Zancanella or Tim Beck at (970) 945-
5700.
Very truly"yourS......
Zancanla?EAsso'ciates'.Inc.
Z4RC4R&L4 4mo 4SYOC14TM IWC.
