Cattany <br />Twentymile Coal Company Division Director <br />Foidel Creek Mine Natural Resource Trustee <br />29515 Routt County Road No. 27 <br />Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br />RE: Second Quarter 2008 Discharge Monitoring Report, CO-0036684 <br />Dear Mr. Watterson: <br />Twentymile Coal Company (TCC) submitted NPDES Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR), for Second <br />Quarter 2008, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment CDPS permit no. CO-0036684 on <br />July 30, 2008. Outfall 001A discharged each week of second quarter 2008. Water quality samples were <br />collected and analyzed and WET tests were conducted. No inorganic parameters were exceeded, however <br />the initial WET test, conducted May 20, 2008, resulted in acute toxicity to fathead minnow, but not to <br />Ceriodaphnia dubia . TCC conducted two follow up WET tests with fathead minnow, on June 10, 2008 <br />and June 18, 2008, on an accelerated testing schedule. The results from the two subsequent WET tests <br />were acceptable. <br />The report is in compliance with Rule 4.15.13(2)(iii).
