(HGTI) has provided the Division with the second quarter 2008 pond
inspection report for Hayden Gulch Loadout (DRMS Permit No. C 1992-081). Two ponds exist on the
permit area, Truck Loop Pond (001) and Rail Loop Pond (002). The report was received by the Division
on August 4, 2008. The Rail Loop pond (Outfall 002A) was inspected by HGTI on June 16, 2008. The
Truck Loop pond (Outfall 001A) was inspected by HGTI on June 18, 2008. Repairs to the spillway at the
Truck Loop Pond had been conducted earlier, but the second quarter 2008 pond inspection report indicates
a small seep at the culvert is still occurring. Both pond were reported to have discharged earlier in the
quarter as a result of snowmelt. HGTI states that the operator will monitor the seepage at the Truck Loop
Pond culvert, and will enact repairs if the seepage volume "gets worse" These reports are in compliance
with Rule 4.05.9(17).
Sincerely,
it
:Janet .
