r1
U
2
Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
Reclamation for the existing permit areas will remain as
before, with Phases 5, 6 and 7 being reclaimed in the same
manner. Mining of the site will create a rangeland/recreational
area of 29.92 acres. It may also create a pond area of about
10.04 acres. Reclamation will be done in conjunction with the
operation, the following estimates are thus probably somewhat
conservative. Reclamation tasks are based on a site with
approximately 23 acres of to be reclaimed, excluding the access,
other roads and pond. The remainder of the site is to remain
undisturbed. The following figures include the reclamation
of the existing permit area as well as the new phases.
- Grade pit sideslopes with a D-8 dozer.'
Approx. t6.7 ac. of shoreline ( includes
area below water ) X $750/acre $5025.00
- Replace approx. 4 - 6 ( Ave. 5 inches )
inches of topsoil, ( approx. 14,850 cu yd.)
on 23 ac.
