Problems, Recommendations and Compliance Dates <br /> I <br /> The operator 'is advised that the following problems have been identified <br /> during inspections and that failure to correct the problems may result in <br /> the Division taking an ENFORCEMENT ACTION pursuant to CRS 1973, as <br /> amended, 34-33-123. (Recommendations and compliance dates are to be <br /> clearly noted. Dates are to be specific, e.g. , January 31, 1983 and <br /> underlined. ) I <br /> NEW PROBLEMS <br /> 017-83-2. Take immediate action to restore proper sediment control <br /> for the prep plant area and cease discharge of water which exceeds NPDES <br /> limitations. Specifically, clean sediment accumulation from the wash <br /> plant slurry pond and the upper two sediment ponds. below the coal refuse <br /> pile. <br /> RESOLUTION IN PROGRESS <br /> 017-83-1 . Coal must be cleaned up from the undisturbed area below the <br /> Mine No. 2 coal stockpile when snow has melted enough to allow cleanup <br /> without unnecessary disturbance to existing vegetation. A buffer strip <br /> 30 feet wide is to be established and maintained between stockpiled coal <br /> and the disturbed boundary to allow for future cleanup. <br /> t <br /> i <br />
