(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: P-2008-017
INSPECTION DATE: 5-28-08 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRM
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal program established by the Colorado Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety for Notice of Intent operations. The Donna K Project is a proposed drilling program by
BlueRock Energy. The project is proposing 85 holes along existing historic roads near the pre-law Donna K Mine in
western Montrose County. Representatives for BlueRock and the BLM Uncompahgre Field office accompanied the
inspector on site.
The proposed access to the site is along historic pre-law roads. Most of the roads have very little to no vegetation.
Erosion is noted as being very minimal even in the area of a drainage crossing. No major repairs are noted as being
necessary and the proposed 864 feet of repair seems to be very conservative. Some boulders and tree fall will have
to be cleared from pathways which will be replaced as part of the reclamation.
The 85 holes proposed are approximately 350 feet in depth. The primary purpose is defining the ore body of the
historic mine. Past mine activity indicates there are no groundwater issues in this particular area. Mud pits are
proposed but only as a provisional part of the Notice in case unforeseen water is encountered.
The inspector notes that the Donna K Portal is open. The back has eroded away and caved in back to a point where
access is possible. It is noted the decline is close to 45 degrees and very steep. This area is not part of the NOI but
being noted for future reference in case of an inquiry.
Overall the project appears to be well present within the NOI application. No issues or concerns are noted at this
time. A reclamation liability estimate will be calculated based on the information in the Notice and this site visit.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no.
970-241-1117.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Dave Munger
OPERATOR: BlueRock Energy
STREET: P.O.
