URAVAN-BECK PROJECT DRILL SITE P-8 Page 2 of 7
NOTICE OF INTENT TO COMMENCE PROSPECTING
APPENDICES To NOI APPLICATION
Section 111.7. D.
Twenty drill holes will be situated in 6- to 7-hole fence patterns of close-order (15-25
ft. separation). The sub-parallel fences may be as close as 50 ft. apart, depending
on old drill patterns, roads, and topography. All drilling disturbance will be located
within the 4.5 acre drill site.
Topsoil stockpiles will be constructed along the side of each drill fence where topsoil
is stripped prior to drilling for use in reclamation.
The county road passes through the drill site, thus no access roads to the drill site
will be required.
Section 111.7. H.
Equipment for Drilling:
• Three pick-ups: one for Yellowcake logger, one for geophysical logger, one
for driller.
• Drill rig.
• Plastic water tank will be mounted on one truck (used for mixing bentonite or
neat cement for hole plugging and abandonment, and for fire safety). Water
will be purchased locally.
• Fuel will be carried in approved containers on second pickup.
• One truck-mounted drilling rig, 1,000 to 1,500-ft. depth capability, air-rotary
and hammer-type drills on board.
• One wheeled backhoe with blade and bucket.
• One ATV with trailer for reclamation seeding work.
• One low-boy trailer to haul the backhoe and ATV close to the site. The trailer
will be parked on the Q-12 road near the drill area to minimize site impacts.
Section 111.7. J.
The drill pad area will be located on a broad, rolling shelf between two steep slopes
located about 900 vertical feet above and east of the Dolores River. The Dolores is
approximately 1,300 feet to the west. No springs or intermittent drainages are
marked on the USGS quad within one mile of the drill site. No groundwater was
encountered during previous Uranium drilling in this area (as verbally reported to the
Company by a previous operator). It is anticipated that no water will be encountered
while drilling the planned 200-foot deep holes.
