ATTACHMENT B
J-BIRD EXPLORATION PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The J-Bird Mine Exploration Project will be to drill 48 test holes to explore the viability of
extracting uranium and vanadium from the proposed area. The drill locations were selected based on the
geology of the area, as well as historic records of drilling for the area. The drill holes are numbered and in
Table 1 of Attachment A and are also shown in Figures 1, 2A, 2B and 3.
Exploration drilling
A drill rig using compressed air will be used to drill the exploration holes. This will allow for the
collection of chip samples instead of core. A sample is collected for every five feet of drilling. No drilling
mud is used during this process. At times, 1 inch samples will be collected.
Each drill pad is estimated to be 20ft x 20% in size. All drill holes will be vertical and 6 1/4
inches in diameter. The maximum anticipated hole depth is approximately 450 feet, with the average
being approximately 325 feet. Each hole will be geophysically logged to record the geology and natural
gamma content. Once this is complete, the holes will be back-filled with drill-hole cuttings and sealed as
described in the reclamation section of this Notice of Intent.
Exploration drill holes will be located in areas of previous disturbance. The majority of the drill
sites are located on existing road prisms, while a few are located just off of roads or in clearings, but
within the 400sq.ft. pad size. The road need minor repair and is detailed in 111.6.1) of the DRMS
Prospecting Permit. All sites are on areas where cut and fill is not required. Vehicular traffic and staging
equipment will remain within drill pads or road prisms. The total disturbance for the exploration drilling,
including drill pads will be approximately 0.49 acres.
BlueRock Energy Corp. J-Bird Exploration Project 05/19/2008
