Box 191-100 North Yd St.
Victor, CO 80860
NO. ?21 D01
rat- «4B-o -a(W
W-I ?
Dear Mr. Goodrich,
1 am in receipt of your letter dated July 18, 2008 regarding our objection to
CC&V's Mine Life Extensions Please understand that our District appreciates the
cooperative efforts between our two entities and that we understand that as a zero effluent
facility, CC&V Gold Mine' has probably not further degraded the water source of
FourmAle Creek. However, Park Center is a small entity and the costs to treat the poor
water quality from the Carhon Tunnel, due to historical winioog in the area, is an
excessive amount for our users.
We would be very interested in resuming talks about the acquisition of additional
water supplies or in various treatment techniques you might rewmmend to handle the
problems with our source water. And the Hoard would welcome your presentation of the
work completed at the Carlton Tunnel. We really hadn't heard anytl* from you in a
long time. So I would like to invite you to our next Board meeting is August 12, at 5:30
p.m. at the District's business office. Please let me know and I will add you to the
Thank you for your response.
Sincerely,
40W* )k"4?AA-41I
Deborah Marsxcano
District Manager
