<br />of the Delta County Independent; that the same is a weekly news
<br />paper printed, in whole or in part, and published in the Coun
<br />of Delta, State of Colorado, continuously and uninterruptedly i
<br />said County of Delta for a period of more than fifty-two consecu
<br />tive weeks prior to the first publication of the annexed legal notic

<br />PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Minrec,-Inc., 627 24 1/2 Road, Unit
<br />I, Grand Junction, CO, 81505, has
<br />submitted an application for a final
<br />bond release to the Division of
<br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety for
<br />its Blue Ribbon Mine, mining permit
<br />No. C-1981-047. The mining permit
<br />was initially approved on December
<br />9, 1982 and most recently renewed
<br />on December 9, 2007. The current
<br />reclamation bond is $48,000 and is
<br />in the form of a certificate of deposit.
<br />This permit action will release the
<br />entire reclamation bond. The area for
<br />which partial bond release is being
<br />requested is, the Blue Ribbon Mine
<br />Site.
<br />The mine was contoured and seeded
<br />during 1986; All buildings, structures
<br />and facilities at the mine site were
<br />removed. Sealing of the underground.:.. , _. ?-
<br />mine openings was performed in
<br />accordance with the approved plan.
<br />r The area has exhibited good plant
<br />growth during the ensuing years.
<br />Vegetation studies performed during
<br />ty 2006 and 2007 have demonstrated
<br />the vegetation on site meets or
<br />n exceeds the revegetation success
<br />_ criteria.
<br />The Blue Ribbon Mine is located
<br />e seven miles northeast of Paonia, CO,
<br />e north of Bowie Road in Section 2, T
<br />13 S, R 91 W, and Section 35, T 12 S,
<br />s R 91 W, 6th P.M. The location of the
<br />t permit area is contained in the U.S.
<br />Geological Suwey 7.5 minute Bowie,
<br />Colorado, quadrangle map.
<br />S The surface of the permit area is
<br />owned by Oxbow Mining, LLC and the
<br />U. S. Government. The Blue Ribbon
<br />_ Mine permit area contains 340.8
<br />acres of land, 160.8 acres of. private
<br />n surface and 180 acres of Federal
<br />surface. Private minerals within the
<br />' permit area encompass 160.8 acres
<br />f with Federal minerals accounting for
<br />the balance of 180 acres.
<br />A copy of the bond release application
<br />is available for public inspection at the
<br />Delta County Clerk and Recorders
<br />office, 5th and Palmer, Delta, CO, at
<br />the Paonia Public Library, 140 Grand
<br />Avenue, Paonia, CO, and at the
<br />offices of the Division of Reclamation,
<br />Mining' and Safety, 1313 Sherman
<br />St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203,
