I checked on the two coal ownership questions and the surface disturbance question you asked
about, and fortunately the answers were fairly easy:
Western Slope Minerals Coal Lease (T5N, R86W, Section 19) - The thin slice in Section 19 is covered by the WSM Lease.
I didn't pick it up when I was editing the text because it is noted in the lease in conjunction with the adjacent lands in T5N,
R87W, Section 24 (see attached pdf of Exhibit A from that lease). I have edited page 2.03-30 to include this tract.
Federal Lease COC-67514 -I have edited pages 2.03-33.3 and 33.4 (text carry-over) to include the relevant information on
this new Federal Coal Lease.
I asked Mike berdine about the surface grouting that you referenced. The only surface grout injection he is aware of was
done in the Eastern Mining District to seal mined-out areas for long-term water storage. He indicated that no surface grout
injection or other surface disturbance is currently anticipated as necessary for those areas identified under TR08-64. There
is the possibility that we may need to drill some methane control/monitoring boreholes (new MSHA regulations for sealed
gob areas) at the ends of the panels at some time in the future, but those activities (if required) would be addressed under a
separate future revision.
Attached are the revised pages for your reference and review -
Best regards,
Jerry
E-mail Disclaimer: The information contained in this e-mail, and in any accompanying documents, may
constitute confidential and/or legally privileged information.
