Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, that on July 3, 2008, an application to revise <br />coal mining operations at the Carbon Junction Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. This <br />minor revision was submitted by Oakridge Energy, Inc.. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act <br />and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The operator requests acceptance of vegetation sampling data to be used to demonstrate the appropriateness of <br />reclaiming a sediment control pond. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 2 miles Southeast of Durango, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Section 33, T34 1/2N, R9W; Portions of Section 33, T35N, R9W; Portions of Section 4, T34N, R9W. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Durango East. <br />For additional information or to provide written comments, contact the Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with <br />regulatory time frames, we request that comments be submitted within five (5) days of this letter.
