The results of the 2008 vegetation study
demonstrate that the existing ground cover at the site verifies the values selected in
demonstrating that the successful reclamation at the mine meets the erosion requirements,
allowing the Division to approve sediment pond removal.
Part 1 of Stipulation 10 specifies verification by a September 2008 Division inspection. We
request that the inspection date be moved forward to July 2008, so as to provide a more feasible
construction window for reclamation of the sediment ponds. This is reasonable as the vegetation
of the site is cool season, and has achieved maximum growth at this time. Enclosed are two
copies of the 2008 Vegetation Study, and a revision application. If you have any questions
regarding the application, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
"4z;po?
Michael S.
