Public Notice <br />Mountain Coal Company, L.L.C. <br />(MCC), P.O. Box 591 Somerset, <br />CO 81434,(970) 929.5015, has <br />filed a complete application for <br />a Technical Revision (TR-112) to <br />MCC's Mining end Reclamation <br />Permit No. C-60-007 with the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclama- <br />tion Board (Board), under the <br />provisions of the Colorado Sur- <br />lece Coal Mining Reclamation <br />Act of 1979. The permit was <br />originally Issued by the Board in- <br />July 1981, and subsequently re- <br />newed in August 1986, January <br />1993, (Effective August 1991), <br />July 1996, July 2001, and Febru. <br />ary-13, 2007. The current <br />five-year. permit term expires <br />February 13, 2012. The West Elk <br />Mine five-year permit area con. <br />tains ands In Sections 9.11, <br />13.36, T13 S, R90W, 6th PM; and <br />Sections 23.26, T13 South, <br />R91W, 6th PM,'and Sections 1-5, <br />8.12; T14S, R90W, 6th PM In <br />Delta and Gunnison Counties. <br />The location of.the lands can be <br />found on the USGS 7.5 minute <br />Somerset and Minnesota Pass <br />Quadrangle Topographic Maps. <br />The current permit area, Includ- <br />ane 0rainNage wens on Federal <br />Lease 0. C-1362 and <br />COC-67232. The revision would <br />allow for 131 MOW pads end <br />10.02 miles of associated USFS <br />low-volume roads. This techni. <br />cal revision will not result in any <br />Increase In production above <br />currently permitted levels. This <br />technical revision would in- <br />crease the surface disturbed <br />area by approximately 80 acres <br />in Sections 29, 30, 32, 33, 34 <br />and 35, T13S, R90W, 6th PM, <br />and Sections 1 through 5, 9 <br />through 11, of T14S, R90W, 6th <br />PM.
