Second Adequacy Review - Technical Revision 72
Dear Mr. Blunt:
The Division has received your responses to the Divisions 28 April 2008 preliminary
adequacy letter for Technical Revision 72. Thank you for your timely response to this
letter. The Division has reviewed your responses and has the following follow-up
questions and/or comments.
Backfilling and Grading (2.05.4(2)(c) and 4.141
The Division requested additional detail regarding the scale and spacing of
features referenced in the text to create/enhance small scale topographic variation.
The operator declined to provide additional detail. The Division will not press
further, but will monitor final grading operations to ensure that the operator is
following through with their stated intent to achieve appropriate topographic
variation, including "site specific opportunities for developmenAf convex and
concave surfaces to encourage snow entrapment". Item Resolved.
Topsoil [(2.05.(2)(d and 4.061
2. The Division requested that the operator provide an updated Table 2.05-1 to
reflect current status of topsoil volumes for the original permit area, and to
provide a new table or supplement to Table 2.05-1 to reflect current projections
for the South Taylor Area. The Division also requested that narrative of Section
2.05.4(2)(d) in Volume 12, be updated as warranted to correspond to current
projections. The operator declined the request, explaining that the table is
updated in the annual reclamation report.
