This revision responds to <br />questions raised by the Division as a re- <br />suit of the midterm review of the permit. <br />The Deserado Mine is an underground <br />coal mine located in Rio Blanco County, <br />approximately 7 miles northeast of Range. <br />ly, Colorado. Coal interest is Federal, and <br />the surface affected is Federal and private <br />land. The permit area encompasses ap- <br />proximately 11,028.71 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a fin- <br />ding that the proposed operation will <br />comply with all requirements of the Color- <br />ado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, <br />Section 34-33-101, et seq., C.R.S., and <br />the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, including <br />stipulations, are on file for public inspec- <br />tion at the Colorado Division of Reclama- <br />tion, Mining and Safety, Room 215, Cen- <br />tennial Building, 1313. Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203. Persons with an <br />interest that may be adversely affected by <br />the proposed decision may request a for- <br />mal hearing before the Mined Land Recla- <br />mation Board on the proposed decision. <br />Such request must be.
