The quantity of these chemicals that will be used and stored will be a very small amount.
There will be no need for large quantities of stored chemicals because after the initial charge is made the
liquid containing the chemicals is re- used for each new batch of ore to be leached, as more (make up
water) is added it will only be a very small amount of chemicals added to keep the PH correct.
3). After studying the safety sheets for each of the chemicals, I will not be storing the chemicals
together in one location. All of the dry chemicals (alkalies) will be stored in our old type 2 explosives
magazine that will be used exclusively for these chemicals. The acids will be stored in the existing
flotation mill building, Inside of a metal, locked box. The floor of the mill building is concrete and
sloped to.a gutter that drains directly into the existing lined tailings pond. This building is secured and
dry.
4): We hope to run one 2000 lb. batch per day for a 5 day week for 14 weeks. Approx total volume
of tailings 28,000 lbs. If this pilot program is successful in recovering the metals from the ore it is
conceivable that we will add another primary mixing vat thus doubling the amount leached in each
cycle.
5). We will have on site the recommended standard spill kits for each chemical stored along with a
quantity of lime.
6). see map. Bob I will hand deliver a map to your office outlining -the requested info.
7). see the info. ref the liner and installation that was forwarded to you along with the comment letter
from our consultant.
JUN 2 3 2009
Division of ier3G-kj'Bt'u".
Mining and Safety
Out,
OiviSio 19b
ir n of Re e
M 8 ancf s "
"fly
R4
AJw
6/13/2008
