Sherman <br />Executive Director <br />Ronald W. Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Seneca Coal Company has applied for a bond release at the Seneca II Mine. The bond release <br />application was found complete by this Division on June 18, 2008. Seneca Coal Company is <br />requesting Phase 2 Bond Release on 1,793.5 acres of reclaimed land at the Seneca 11 Mine where <br />topsoil has been replaced and revegetation has been established. Seneca Coal Company is requesting a <br />release of $4,289,419.00. The surface ownership is State and private, and the coal mined was Federal, <br />state and private. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon <br />as it has been scheduled.
