PUBLIC NOTICE
Lorencito Coal Company, LLC 4422 Bryan Station Road, Lexington,
Kentucky 40516, the operator of the Lorencito Canyon Mine, Permit
number C96-084, has submitted to the Colorado Division of Reclama-
bon, Mining" and Safety, an application for renewal of mining permit
C-96-084 for the Lorencito Canyon Mine
The Lorencito Canyon Mine is located approximately 20 miles west of
Trinidad, Colorado on State Hwy- 12 in Townships. 33 and 34 South,
Range 66 West, Section 33 and other unplatted lands on the Hill Ranch
in Las Animas County. These lands can be located on the USGS 7.5
minute quadrangle map Little Pine Canyon. The Lorencito Canyon Mine
permit area consists of 3,142 acres with a total disturbed and affected
area of approximately 124.2 acres,
A copy of the permit `transfer application documents are available for
public inspection at'the County Clerk's Office, Las Anima6 County
Courthouse, 200 East' First Street, Trinidad, Colorado. Additional infor-
mation maybe obtained and written comments on the renewal applica-
lion submitted to CDRMS, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, Colo-
rado 80203 within 30 days of the last date of publication of this notice.
