Cattany <br />USDA Service Center Division Director <br />356 Ranney Street Natural Resource Trustee <br />Craig, CO 81625 <br />Re: Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-1981-010) <br />Technical Revision Application No. 103 (TR-103) <br />Mining and Reclamation Plan Updates in A, K & Z Pits; Update Deal and Horsh Gulch Pond Information <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 30, 2008, an application to revise coal mining operations at the <br />Trapper Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Trapper Mining, Inc.. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />TR103 proposes to update mining and reclamation plans in A, K, and Z Pits, revise road locations to include 2008 requirements <br />and update drainage and sediment control information for Deal and Horse gulches. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles southwest of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />L -Portions of Sections 30 and 31, Township 6th North, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M. <br />Portions of Sections 25, 26, 28, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Castor Gulch. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of <br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Moffat County Clerk <br />and Recorder, 221 West Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide <br />written comments, contact the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments be <br />submitted within fifteen (15) days of this letter.
