<br />x 1/4' spaced at 15/16 canter to center. Goss ban are to be spaced at 4' ac.
<br />Crating sections are to be lopped with each other 2' minimum at supports. Do not
<br />fasten permanently - all grating must be removable Sections to be 12'-0' long max.
<br />STEEL DECKPLATE
<br />Floor deck plate shall be 14' thick (thickness measured through body of plate,
<br />not including projections) Medium Pattern 4-Woy Plate* as manufactured by
<br />Inland Steil Company, or 114' thick Ry-Grit plate as manufactured by Ryerson-Tull,
<br />or equivalent products, as noted on plan. Plate splices shall occur over center of

<br />STRUCTURAL STEEL GENERAL NOTES
<br />1. All sled shall conform to the 'Standard Specifcatim fa Structural Steil' ASTM
<br />Designation A36, latest edition, except as noted otherwise. Wide flange and
<br />WT sections shall conform to ASTM Designation A992 Steil pipe shall conform
<br />to ASTM Oeslgnotion A53 (Type E or Type S), Grade B. Steil tubing shall
<br />conform to ASTM Designation A50O, Grade S.
<br />2 All detailing, fabrication and erection shall conform to RISC *Specifications for
<br />Structural Steil Buildings', and the ASC 'Code of Standard Practice for Sled
<br />Buildings and Bridges', latest editions.
<br />3. Bolted field connections shall be mode with 3/4' diameter ASTM A325 bolts.
<br />4. Bolted bean connections shall be in accordance with Table II of Part 4 of the
<br />RISC Aso 'Manual of Steil Construction; 9th edition, unless noted otherwise.
<br />5. AN wilding shall be done by certified welding operators, who each have in their
<br />possession current evidence of passing the American Welding Society Standard
<br />Qualifications Tests' as detailed in AWS DIA. Wilds shall conform with 'AWS
<br />Structural Wilding Code' (AWS 01.1), latest edition.
<br />6. Wild sizes not otherwise shown shall be minimum continuous 5/16 inch fillet
<br />welds.
<br />7. All welling shall be done with AWS A5.1 or A5.5 E70 XK electrodes unless noted
<br />otherwise.
<br />8. Shop connections shall be welded unless noted otherwise
<br />9. Welded bean connections shall be in accordance with Table gl or Table IV of
<br />Pat 4 of the AISC ASD 'Manual of Steil Construction,' 9th edition, unless noted
<br />otherwise.
<br />10. Equivalent welded connections may be substituted for bolted connections subject
<br />to Engineer's approval.
<br />11. All . steel shall receive one shop coat of primer such as Tnemee 99 or Rust ileum

<br />Fldd welds, bolt heads, nuts, all other surfaces not shop painted, and all
<br />surfaces that become abraded during shipping and erection shall be field

<br />coping and trimming of at" members) be performed by burning «'torrh-
<br />cutting.
<br />14. Longspan steel joists shall conform to the 'Standard Specifications of Longspan
<br />Steil Joists LH-Series', latest edition adopted by the Steil Joist Institute.

<br />16. Prior to welding bridginq, digs Joists to a plumb position with a maximum
<br />sweep not to exceed 1/8' limes the total length of the joist, divided by ten.

<br />other mechanical apparatus, and any light fixtures.

<br />CONCRETE GENERAL NOTES
<br />1. Material and workmanship shall be In accordance with the raluilrements of
<br />'Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACH 318, latest edition).
<br />2 All concrete shall haw a minimum amprmive strength (fc) of 4,500 psi at
<br />the age of 26 days
<br />3. Reinforcing bars shall be deformed bars and shall conform to ASTM A-615,
<br />Grade 60, except as noted All stirrups and column tics shall conform to
<br />ASTM A-615, Grade 40.
<br />4. Bar bending details and placing drawings shall be In accordance with the
<br />'Manual of Standard Practice far Detailing Reinforced Concrete Structures'
<br />(ACA 315, latest edition).
<br />5. Where welded reinforcement or defamed bar anchors we indicated on the
<br />drawings, sled specifications and welding shall conform to the 'Structural
<br />Welding Code - Reinforcing Steil.' AWS 01.4. latest edition of the American
<br />Welding Society.
