The
revision requests a new vertical production well 7H-1V to be completed in the existing 7H cavity. As
with the previous revision request for installation of production well 5H-1 V the Division has the
following adequacy comment that will need to be addressed prior to approval of the revision:
Please provide a reclamation cost estimate to reclaim the new production well and the associated
disturbance. Please also include a letter from the Bureau of Land Management stating that a new or
increased bond has been submitted and approved for the cost associated with the reclamation of wel 1
7H-1 V.
As the decision due date is set for today, May 21, 2008, more time is likely to be needed to
complete your reply. The Division can grant an extension to the decision date upon receipt
of a written waiver of your right to a decision by May 21, 2008 and request for additional time. This
waiver and extension request must be received no later than 5 p.m. on May 21, 2008.
DRMS apologizes for the short response time, and will endeavor to process the revision promptly upon
receipt of your response to this letter. However, if an extension request is not received by 4 P.M. today,
the revision may be denied.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South Third Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado
81501, telephone no. 970-243-6368.
Sincerely,
Steve S.
