Berhan has handled this operation in the past and then Deb Zack did a little on
the bonding. So I will let you pass it on to the proper person.
This revision adds some bonding acreage to the already bonded land. However, it removes the same amount of
acreage from another area in the amendment area which has not been affected. The special use permit has not yet
been approved, so no operations can occur in the amendment area. In effect, this revision takes 15.9 acres from the
bonded amendment area and moves that to three small parcels within the original permit area that is covered by the
original special use permit. Included is a description and two maps showing the locations of the acres being shifted
around. This should not require a bond recalculation. After all is said and done there should remain at least 300 acres
of fully bonded but unaffected land. These changes are needed to keep the operation going until a decision can be
made on the new special use permit. There is no more mineable sand within the current bonded area other than in
the amendment which can't be disturbed yet. They found a little more low quality sand in these three areas within
the original permit affected land area.
If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
Mark A.
