Map M1 0B, Sheet 3 - 2008 topsoil stripping limits were modified to include stripping in
K pit (73.9 acres) and stripping in East A pit (21.6 acres). 2008 topsoil replacement acres
totaling 43.4 acres were added to an area west of the current East A pit (same area shown
as added regrade on Map MI OA, Sheet 3).
Roads have been modified as follows:
Map M9, Sheet 2 - the relocation corridor of the Middle Z haulroad is shown on this
map. The current Middle Z road will be eliminated as part of the remediation of the small
Z pit spoil slide. In addition, a small reroute of F4 road will be added to accommodate F
pit advance. This new road length is offset by road length eliminated by previous F pit
advance.
Map M9, Sheet 3 - Short extensions of the East A roads totaling 1,320 feet have been
added. A road (1,300 feet) west ofZ dip pit is also being added.
Post mining topography has been modified as follows:
Map M12, Sheet 2 has been modified slightly to reflect changes associated with re-
contouring efforts in the area of the small Z pit spoil slide.
The following drainage and sediment control information is provided:
Drainage and sediment control information related to structures in Horse and Deal
gulches has been included. This information was initially submitted with PR-6; however,
since the work in Horse Gulch needs to be completed this summer, we are including
information in the TR-103 submittal. This information includes:
Map M51, Sheets 2 and 3, shows disturbance limits (worst case) for Horse Gulch and
Deal Gulch.
SEDCAD runs for Horse Gulch and Deal Gulch are included. Runs are shown for both
the 10 year, 24 hour event and the 25 year, 24 hour event. The runs show that the existing
Deal Gulch system is adequate to handle the new, small disturbance. The increased
disturbance in Horse Gulch requires an expansion of Horse #1 Pond. The SEDCAD run
incorporates this design.
A plan view and a cross-sectional view of the expanded Horse #1 are included.
