The project appears to be a straight forward request to replace the wash settling
ponds for a water clarification system. A review of the application has revealed a few issues and clarifications to
address.
• Please supply a detailed diagram that gives the design and actual dimensions of the water clarification
system.
• Please clarify how the water clarification system will be used in the approved post mine land use of
rangeland.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.623.5596.
Sincerelyy,_ ?
Travis Marshall
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc: Carl Mount, Senior Environmental Protection Specialist, North Team Supervisor
Office of
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
li
