Hopefully, the citizens of San Luis and Costilla County were well served
by our attempt to meet informally and explain the review process of the amendment application.
On May 12, 2008, the Division received a request from Battle Mountain Resources to extend the decision
date for the amendment application. The Division has approved the requested extension.
Due to the extension request, the public meetings previously scheduled for May 28 and June 11-12 have
been vacated and new dates will be set in the future. The Division will inform the San Luis Police
Department of the dates, times and locations of the new meetings as soon as such can be determined.
Please contact me at the Division's office in Durango at 701 Camino del Rio, Room 315, Durango, CO
81301, phone (970) 247-5469, or email at wally.erickson(a~state.co.us, if I can answer any questions.
Sincerely,
(t~~~~
Wallace H.
