• Rock anchors shall develop strength equal to, or greater than, ASTM A-36 round stock. <br />Welding electrodes shall conform to AWS A5.1. <br />Form Surface Treatments <br />Apply form oil or other release agent to minimize the bond between the forms and the <br />concrete to ease stripping those forms that must be removed as part of this project. <br />PART 3-EXECUTION <br />3.1 General <br />The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and tools to perform all <br />operations in connection with the design, detailing, fabrication and erection of the <br />formwork and the fabrication and installation of grout pipes for the cast-in-place concrete <br />plug and for the cellular concrete containment barriers. All work shall be performed <br />according to the relevant Standards. <br />All designs must be supported by design calculations stamped and sealed by a Registered <br />Professional Engineer. <br />• The Contractor shall furnish, fabricate and install all concrete placement, grout and air <br />relief pipes for the cast-in-place concrete plug and for the barriers to contain the cellular <br />concrete. <br />3.2 Shop Drawings <br />The Contractor shall design and detail all formwork for the plug or the cellular concrete <br />barriers, complete with any required bracing and shoring, in accordance with ACI 318 and <br />347 and the AISC Manual of Steel Construction and/or AITC Manual of Timber <br />Construction. <br />The formwork must be capable of conforming to, and sealing against the irregular profile <br />of the excavation, or to the profile of the existing adit tunnel support (concrete or timber <br />sets and lagging). <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying the dimensions of the opening into which <br />the formwork or barrier must fit. <br />3.3 Fabrication <br />The Contractor shall fabricate all formwork and ancillary items in accordance with the <br />• latest edition of the AISC Manual of Steel Construction, AITC Manual of Timber <br />
