Southwestern
Ecological
Services
37 East Colorado Avenue Denver, Colorado 80210-3105 (303) 722-9067 Fax 1-866-820-1556 (toll free)
(EXAMPLE OF SECOND NOTICE LETTER)
May 5, 2008
RE: Copy of NEW, REVISED public notice for an amendment to Daniels Sand Pit #2 -Continental
Materials Corp.
(Transit Mix Concrete).
Certified Mail #: (enter number) Return Receipt Requested
Dear
As a result of an amendment to the amendment application, it is necessary to renotify all adjacent
landowners. You were sent one of these notices in March, but this one is the new notice that includes
information on the revision to the application. Please see the location map to see what was added to the
application.
In accordance with the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for
the Extraction of Construction Materials, the enclosed copy of a public notice is being provided to you.
The rules require that all parties who own surface land within 200 feet of the affected land boundary of the
land included in a permit application or amendment to a permit application be provided with a copy of the
public notice. This is provided so you can be given an opportunity to examine the application at the
locations stated m the notice and, if you so desire, provide comments to the Division of Minerals and
Geology regarding the application and its contents. Please note that there is a small error in the nonce that
will be corrected in subsequent publishing of the notice. The date 2007 in the second paragraph should
read 2017.
Included, in addition to the notice, is a map of the location of the amendment, and a summary of what is
involved in the amendment. If you have any questions regarding the plan you may contact myself at 303-
722-9067 or Ashley Muhlestein at Transit Mix at 719-475-0700.
Sincerely,
Mark A. Heffner
