Douglas County has no objection to the
applicants converting their State permit or applying to the State to expand the operation.
According to County criteria, the proposed changes constitute an expansion of a
previously approved land use and requires a revision to their County Use by Special
Review approval and may require grading, access, or other permits. The applicants
have submitted a Use by Special Review application, file number US 07-011, which has
initiated the review process to cover the Douglas County requirements. It would be
beneficial for the State and County to coordinate with each other prior to approval of
either application to ensure that modifications to the plans or permits requested by one
agency are incorporated into those of the other.
Thank you,
Andy H gh
Land Use Administrator
Cc: Kathy Stanphil, Senior Planning Tech
Betty Allen, Assistant Director of Planning and Zoning Services
Sarah Tresouthick, Planning Manager
Janet Herman, Development Review Manager (Engineering)
Steve Murray, Development Review Engineer
100 Third Street, Castle Rock, Colorado 80104 • (303) 660-7460 • FAX (303) 660-9550
