SCOPE
Steffens and Associates, Inc. (SAlnc) has evaluated the changes in Storm Water
Management Plan that will be required to implemented for the proposed MLE project at the
Cresson Project
The scope of this section specifically relates to lands that will be affected by the
proposed MLE Project, and excludes the management of storm water runoff that reports to
either the Valley Leach Facility (Golder Associates and Smith Williams Consultants) or to the
existing mine area. Amendment No. 8 and previous expansions include storm water
management plans for these areas, such as ECME portion of the East Cresson mine in
Vindicator Valley and South Cresson portion of the Main Cresson mine that will not be
additionally affected by this expansion. The drainage plans for those areas that will not be
affected by this expansion are presented in "East Cresson Mine Extension Drainage Report
and Plan" (2004) by Golder Associates, Inc. and Amendment No. 8 to Mined Land
Reclamation Permit M1980-244, Volume IV, March 2000.
The drainage plan proposed in this report includes storm water management designs
for two distinct periods::
• During operations as the mine areas are developed and/or extended, and
• Post reclamation and closure.
•
Client:CC8~V Gold Mining Co. 4/11/08
Title: Storm Water Management, MLE Page 3
