Mine Plan Chance
In recent years, OMLLC has conducted on lease exploration drilling activities to better define the
coal resources available for mining activities. The new data indicated faulting of the coal in the
northwest areas of the Elk Creek Federal coal lease. The information effects the mineplan such
that Oxbow proposes to remove the former panel 12 and shorten panel 11. In these areas, no
additional lease areas are proposed, rather, we are simply modifying areas already within the
federal lease.
Please see the attached Map 2.05-M2, Sheet 1 of 2, Elk Creek Mine, 5 Year Mining Plan for
details of the area. All mining areas will be accessed from the current Elk Creek Mine workings
with no additions to the work force.
Attached please find a proposed public notice which will be published in the Delta County
Independent upon notification by the Division that this application is complete. Please contact
me at 970-929-5806 if I can provide any additional information or if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~~~
James A.
