We offer flee follow~g o~ements for yam' consideration. <br />The vegetatimr at the site is good condition short grass prairie- Including a' mix of prairie grasses and <br />shrubs that are relatively dense. <br />'The prairie dog town that was present on the site when flee original application went through appears to <br />have died out several years ago, and is ra iouger an issue. <br />Some of the wildlife species ir7cely to be affected by the ex~aosion ofthe existing pit are: lurk bursting, <br />meadowlark, Lincoln's sparrow, killdeer, prairie fak~rr, red tat7ed hawk, short horned limed, eastern fence lir~d, <br />coach whip, western box turtle, beck failed jackrabbit, eottontad rabbit, prairie vole, caYote, mule deer, and white <br />tailed deer. None of the above lis#ed species is li4ted as a thre~ened species, e~gered species, or species of <br />special concern. <br />The officer, Steve Keefer, who did the cm site inspection is familiar"with-the site. ~lre most irlcely species <br />of special concern that coin be found there wou&1 be min pk>ver.
