Approxim tely 75 percent of the <br />annual precipitation occurs during the growing season from mid-April to I e-September. Snowfall can <br />vary greatly from year to year but averages 35 to 45 inches per year. Wi ds are estimated to average <br />about 9 miles per hour annually, ranging from 10 miles per hour during th spring to 9 miles per hour <br />during late summer. Daytime winds are generally stronger than nighttime and occasional strong <br />storms may bring periods of high winds with gusts to more than 90 miles er hour. <br />The average length of the growing season is 142 days, but varies from 1~ <br />date of first frost in the fall is September 28, and the last frost in the sprint <br />hottest month and December and January are the coldest.
