(a) Material will be moved by front-end loaders and trucks. A bulldozer will be used <br />in location where loader is impractical due to loose footing, <br />(b) The overburden will be moved by front-end loader and bulldozer and will be <br />stockpiled for use in reclamation. <br />(c) There will be no water diversions and impoundments necessary at this pit. All <br />dikes and berms will be for safety and erosion control. <br />(d) The area to be disturbed at any one time should not exceed'ten (20) acres. <br />(e) i. Mining will start when permit is received and will continue on an <br />as-needed basis. <br />ii. Reclamation will be an ongoing process as the site is mined. <br />iii. Mining and reclamation will be continued until exhausted. <br />iv. Active mining will move in an eastward direction at the site and <br />reclamation will begin in the exhausted area. <br />v. Six (6) inches or more of topsoil will be pulled from the stockpile at the <br />pit site. <br />vi. Reclamation will proceed as mining moves toward the South and East <br />with the topsoil stored on-site to be planted with native grasses and the <br />ground sloped 3:1 or flatter where necessary. <br />(f) i. Material to be mined is gravel and sand of varying depth with up to three <br />(3) feet of topsoil overburden. <br />ii. The stratum immediately beneath the material to be mined is sugar-sand <br />and will not be disturbed. <br />(g) The primary commodity will be gravel for use in road surfacing and the <br />secondary commodity will be sand and gravel for use as road cover materials. <br />(h) There will be no refuse, acid, or toxic producing materials exposed during mining. <br />(i) Explosives will not be used in conjunction with the mining and/or reclamation gf <br />this pit. <br />
