In MR-86, Bowie Resources LLC
(BRL) is proposing to drill one monitoring hole to the D-seam coal workings in order to
determine the quantity and quality of water in the mine at that level.
According to BRL, this monitoring well will probably replace the monitoring well that
BRL originally proposed in Technical Revision No. 53, which you are reviewing. The
location of the MR-86 well is next to the Hubbard Creek road so no drill pad or light use
road will be needed. A mud pit will not be needed as well since BRL will be using a
stock tank.
Attached is one copy of the MR-86 submittal. I will call MR-86 complete tomorrow,
February 13, 2008. The decision will be due Monday, February 25, 2008. I would
appreciate it if I could get your adequacy review memo back by Friday, February 22,
2008. If you need additional time, please let me know.
Thanks for your assistance!
Attachments
cc: Sandy Brown (without attachments)
c:/word/bowie2/mr86bondmemo 1
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver Grand )unction Durango Active and Inactive Mines
