CIVIL RESOURCES
Erosion Control Measures
Erosion control is achieved by redirecting clear water generated from upstream areas, in turn minimizing silt introduced
into the downstream wetlands and waterways. Additional erosion control measures, such as silt fencing, is desirable to
provide additional control in non-point source runoff areas such as the west side of the mining limits. Riprap and
sediment traps are recommended at ditch discharge points, due to the potential for high velocities. Figure 2 and 3
illustrates erosion mitigation measures.
Schedule
Mining is scheduled to begin in the fall or winter of 2007. As mining progresses the drainage measures should be
rerouted or redeveloped to divert water to the areas shown on Figure 2.
Summary
The measures presented above and on Figures 2 and 3 are standard measures and more effort to control stormwater
might have to be implemented as a result of changes in the mining plan or areas of concern as mining progress. Civil
Resources believes this plan will control stormwater on the site and prevent erosion and sedimentation of wetlands and
waterways downstream.
Sincerely,
Civil Resourc , LLC
Andrew R, odr" uez, P.E.
Water Resources Engineer
attachments
J:1SW Investment Group -1231Heit PropertylSWMPIStormwater Management Plan.doc
