Currently the West Sunday is covered under a Reclamation Permit issued by
the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (DRMS); a 112 Permit that covers affected lands
from the West Sunday (M-1981-021). During standard repairs of temporary sedimentation basins and berms
surrounding the toe of the West Sunday dump, additional topsoil was stockpiled in a former parking area at the
southwestern edge of the permitted area. The topsoil was stockpiled within the approved affected area
boundary and will be useful during reclamation of the West Sunday Mine. This topsoil stockpile location is
provided on the attached map.
Enclosed is a check for $175.00 to cover the Technical Revision Fee for Hardrock Materials Operations per the
Fee Schedule located on your website (http://mining.state.co.us). Also enclosed is a notice letter to the San
Miguel County Planning Department and certified return request receipt for the notice letter.
